Civic Square is the largest outdoor urban-park space in central Wellington.
Surrounded by the key civic buildings for the city - the Civic Square is bordered by both the Michael Fowler Centre and Wellington Town Hall. Other neighbours of the Civic Square include the City's Art Gallery, Wellington Library and the municipal Council buildings.
Home to many of the civic gatherings for Wellington citizens and major outdoor public parties such as New Year celebrations; this space is also available for hire for large arts installations, public gatherings, market days, and corporate product launches.
